I'm a hacker, writer, and birder based in Seattle, Washington. Lately I've been hacking on security at Google, and before that, I was hacking education at edX. I also spent a delightful three months at the Recurse Center, which is quite possibly the loveliest programming community in the world.

You can check out some of my code at Github, my (very occassional) blog entries at Dreamwidth, and my continuing struggle to understand the purpose of arbitrarily small character limits at Twitter.

You can reach me via email at julia (at) flowerhack (dot) com. If you are a cryptonerd, I encourage you to read up on this world of ours and use my GPG key.
